Truman Lake’s 55,600 acres of clear water are surrounded by looming bluffs. There are color-coded trails for every level of hiker, from green for the beginner through red for the expert and hardy, that lead you through the oak and hickory trees and provide awe-inspiring views of the lake. You might spy a bobcat, deer or wild turkey. If it’s your lucky day, you’ll see a bald eagle soaring above you.
There are sandy beaches and swimming areas for all levels of experience. If you’re an angler, you’ll have a great day reeling in crappie, black bass, white bass or catfish.
