Lake Hiwassee is located in the Appalacian foothills and surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest.

If you’re more the landlubber type, there are trails of every size and shape sure to delight bird watchers and wildlife observers. For the more flora-inclined, there are thousands of native plants. You can also go horseback riding along the trails or play a round of golf.
