Arcadia Lake is a woodland wonderland in the Metro Area of Oklahoma City with year-round activities. In the winter, you can watch for the bald eagles or fish from the covered, heated dock. In the spring, there’s disc golf and hiking, biking or horseback riding on the scenic trails. In the summer, fishing, of course, for bluegill, catfish and bass, and any other water sport you could want, such as power boating sail boating, waterskiing and wind surfing. The lake is ablaze in glory in the autumn as the leaves change color, and when it starts to get cool, there are those heated docks, which, by the way, are handicap accessible.
Near the end of October (please check the dates), there is a very special week for the kids (parents like it also). In the Storybook Forest, kids walk through storybook scenes to get candy from storybook characters. There are hayrides, games and marshmallows roasted over a campfire that the kids gather around to listen to stories.
