Minutes from downtown Tulsa, there are 26,000 acres of shimmering blue-green water, dense forests, 330 miles of sinuous shorelines with giant bluffs rising above it all. Keystone Lake has 16 different recreation areas, 11 boat ramps and trails of different lengths and degrees of difficulty, two of them dedicated to ATVs. The fish are trophy-sized: bass, crappie, sunfish, channel catfish, walleye and saugeye, and there are thousands of acres open for hunting.
A real treat for the kids is Jellystone Park, where they can spend the day with Yogi Bear and his friends, play on a floating playground and try kayaking and paddle boarding. A treat for the parents is getting a baby sitter and taking in some of Tulsa’s rockin’ night life.
One of the magnificent sights in the winter are the eagles that you can watch from an observation platform.
